So, you've discovered Luxborough.
You've taken the dogs over Slowley, breathed in the air, marvelled at the view - and wondered how on earth it has taken you so long to find such a God-given place.
Then, having stumbled, tired but happy to the welcoming Royal Oak (which is about to become yet another joyful revelation) you settle down to a delicious lunch and a well-earned beer.
A short stroll follows, bringing yet more discoveries of woodland wonders and wildlife like you've never seen before.
And then, dizzy from a day of fresh air and fresh outlooks, the inevitable happens . . . you're desperate for a cup of tea, a slice of home-made cake or a delicious scone and cream.
Welcome, then to Luxborough Tea Garden, the next part of the dream that seems endless.
The place: A 17th century thatched cottage, nestling in the valley with its gardens sweeping down to a babbling trout stream.
The food: Home-made and gorgeous delicacies, locally-sourced cream and jam and a selection of Miles tea and coffee (the best in the world.)
The result: Heaven on earth.
Find it at Holywell Cottage. For confirmation that such bliss really does exist, phone 01984 641525.
